A Franca-dominated blend like the Vinha dos Santos, but this is a step up in richness, and barrel aged. The vines providing the fruit are all at least 90 years old. Anselmo has made a robust, balanced style, with ripe but grippy tannins, and fine, complex fruit. The oak is handled very well.
